Blast Off

Morpeth, New South Wales

Steel, rivets, and a stencil that tells you exactly when someone last cared for this bridge. Blast Off is an intimate portrait of infrastructure, the oval cutouts framing the lattice within, the painted text a record of maintenance past. Get close enough and the ordinary becomes extraordinary. This is industrial photography at its most graphic, most considered.
