What is Pejayo?

Pejayo is all about seeing the everyday from a different angle. Original photography is transformed into distinctive artworks printed on materials including slate, metal and glass, creating pieces with texture, personality and a story to tell.

Are all Pejayo images original?

Yes! The photography featured in Pejayo artworks is original and selected for its ability to capture an interesting perspective, unexpected detail or a different way of looking at the world around us.

Are Pejayo artworks handmade?

Pejayo pieces combine original photography with individually produced and finished materials. Because materials such as natural slate have their own texture, edges and characteristics, no two pieces are ever completely identical — and we think that’s part of their charm.

Will my artwork look exactly like the website image?

Not necessarily, and that’s what makes it yours! Natural variations in slate and differences in the production and finishing of metal pieces mean your artwork may vary slightly from the example photographed for the website.

Our wood used to create your new favourite framed artwork is all recycled. It has lived for many years before being ... framed. The years and wisdom that is imparted within the wood grain is special. It is saved from an unruly and untimely ending from a range of places, most of them being landfill. This being said, each piece is unique and one-of-a-kind, therefore we try our best with requests, but can not always perfectly match an exact type of wood that you have seen. This is all part of the fun though.

The images shown online are therefore an indication of the finished piece rather than an exact representation of the individual piece you will receive.

What materials are the artworks available on?

Pejayo artworks are available across a selection of materials including natural slate, metal and glass, depending on the individual design and collection.

Each material gives the photograph a different character and finish, so you can choose the style that works best for you and your space.

How do I display my Pejayo artwork?

This depends on the particular piece. Some artworks are designed to stand independently, while others may be suitable for hanging or displaying using the fittings or stand provided.

Can I order a custom piece?

Love a Pejayo artwork but looking for something a little different? Get in touch! Where possible, we’re happy to discuss different formats, sizes or other options.

Custom requests for photographs are available and considered individually depending on the image, material and production requirements.

Are the colours exactly as they appear online?

We do our best to photograph and display each artwork as accurately as possible. However, colours can appear slightly different depending on your screen, device settings, lighting and the material on which the image is printed.

How should I care for my artwork?

Treat your Pejayo piece with a little love. Gently dust or wipe it using a soft, clean cloth and avoid abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals.

Where does Pejayo deliver?

Pejayo offers delivery within Australia. Available delivery options and costs will be displayed during checkout.

For delivery outside Australia, please contact us before purchasing to see what might be possible.

How long will my order take?

We’ll get your artwork on its way as quickly as possible. Processing and delivery times can vary depending on the piece, availability and destination.

Once your order has been dispatched, any available tracking information will be provided so you can follow its journey to you.

What happens if my artwork arrives damaged?

Oh no! If your order arrives damaged, please contact Pejayo as soon as possible. Keep the artwork and its original packaging and send us photographs of the item, packaging and damage so we can work with you to resolve the issue.

Can I return an artwork if I change my mind?

Please choose your artwork carefully, as Pejayo does not offer refunds, returns or exchanges for change of mind, incorrect choice or where you simply decide the piece is no longer suitable.

This does not affect any rights you may have under the Australian Consumer Law where an item is faulty, damaged, significantly different from its description or otherwise fails to meet applicable consumer guarantees.

What if there is a problem with my order?

Please get in touch. If you receive the wrong item or believe there is a fault or another issue with your purchase, let us know and we’ll work with you to find the appropriate solution.

Nothing in Pejayo’s policies excludes or limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
