The Laugh

Sydney, New South Wales

He's heard the joke before, and he's not impressed. The Laugh gets up close with one of Australia's most iconic birds, the kookaburra, capturing every ruffled feather, every fleck of brown and white, and that legendary expression of absolute unflappable dignity. The soundtrack of the Australian bush, rendered in extraordinary detail. A photograph that brings a little bit of the bush inside, and never fails to raise a smile.
