Penguin

Gold Coast, Queensland

Alone on a white rail, the world stretching grey and blue behind. This little bird, hunched, contemplative, blissfully unaware of how much it resembles a penguin - is having a moment. Penguin is a photograph about stillness and solitude, about finding something unexpectedly charming in an ordinary scene. Quietly funny, quietly beautiful. The kind of image that makes you stop and smile every single time you pass it.
